ZK & I spent the afternoon together taking photos of the shophouses at Potong Pasir before having tea at his grandmother’s.

01 I went bikini shopping for the first time in…6 years… this afternoon. While packing for Church Camp it dawned upon me that I have been ‘well covered’ with a standard navy swimsuit for the past…2 years whenever I have had the urge to jump into the pool downstairs. Who would have thought that something only meant for swim pe lessons would have come to such good and frequent use? But what hurt the most was realizing that I have expanded vertically and (le sigh) horizontally over the past 2 years; so much that wearing ye old m&s two-piece tankini at next week’s religious retreat would be equivalent to subjecting myself to eternal condemnation and banishment from le church.
And after an hour of scouring various stores along orchard road.. I still couldn’t find anything decent AND affordable.
02 $11 was spent on creme fraiche and dark muscovado sugar today. It was well worth it because the banana cinnamon tea bread turned out splendidly; but honestly speaking it tastes more like a wonderful bread-shaped cake~
03 This evening Papa and I booked my accommodation at LSE!

1. where have all the non-skimpy, somewhat affordable tankinis/bikinis gone?
2. microsoft excel spreadsheets remind me of churning out fake data for my ESS IAs
3. i am so grateful that i am no longer sitting on the fence and losing sleep over ‘the future’
4. dexter looks like a llama alpaca after his haircut

In so many ways, losing a close friend is worse than losing a lover. Lovers are transient for the most part but friends are supposed to be there for you always, or so we like to believe. Friendship is a special kind of love that’s not supposed to fade. You never expect the one person you thought you could always depend on to disappear without saying goodbye. And when they do you feel sickeningly stupid and cheated, wondering what you meant to them all along, whether you were just convenient or in the right place at the right time. You never really know for sure.

Worked at All Good Things for the first time in 3 weeks woah! & ZK popped by for tea in the afternoon :)
Alison whipped up a sausage, egg and ketchup sandwich for dinner
After work, I spent the evening with ZK and we walked all the way back home from Great World City woah ~so fit~
